VoluBill Signs Deal with Mobile Operator in Northern Africa

VoluBill, a leading supplier of real-time charging, control and monitoring applications for IP-based mobile services, has announced their selection for a groundbreaking new deal with a major Northern African affiliate of a leading mobile telecoms group. According to the terms of the agreement, VoluBill will supply its Charge Itâ„¢ real-time data control and charging solution which is valued at close to one million Euros.

Expenditure on New Mobile Phone Charging Systems to Grow 30 Percent

Juniper Research has forecast that the annual growth rate for expenditure on new convergent mobile prepaid/postpaid solutions will average 30% per annum to 2011. Expenditure is forecast to grow from $299m in 2006 to just over $1.1bn by 2011 as operators strive for competitive advantage and improved operational efficiency. The largest expenditure over the 2006 to 2011 period is forecast to be in Europe due to the complex legacy charging environments installed in most established operators. [Read more…]

Convergys Updates Third Quarter Guidance

Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), a global leader in customer care, human resources, and billing services, has updated its guidance for the third quarter, 2006. Convergys expects net revenues to exceed $700 million and earnings per diluted share of $0.30 or more in this period.

Convergys had previously said it expected earnings per diluted share to be $0.27 to $0.28 for the quarter. Convergys will release its third quarter results on October 25, and will host a conference call the same day at 10:00 AM, EDT, to discuss those results.
