OSS News Review has released our OSS Visibility Index ratings for the month of July 2008. The OSS Visibility Index is a list of the most visible companies and products and services in the telecom OSS/BSS industry.

The OSS Visibility Index is published on a monthly basis and comes in two parts. The first part of the OSS Visibility Index consists of the rankings of the companies that were most visible online during the reporting period. The second part of the OSS Visibility Index consists of the rankings of the OSS products and services that were most popular during the reporting period. L-3 Communications Wins Air Force Weapon Systems Support Contract

L-3 Communications announced today it was selected as a prime contractor for a U.S. Air Force weapons systems support contract. The contract carries a maximum value of USD $6.9 billion.

The company was one of 12 prime contractors selected for contracts for the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) program known as the Future, Flexible Acquisition and Sustainment Tool (F(2)AST). L-3 will compete for task orders and delivery orders under the F(2)AST program. [Read more…]
