Leading telecom solutions provider Equinox Information Systems has told OSS News review that the nation’s largest telecommunications cooperative, Horry Telephone Cooperative (HTC), has expanded their Protector licensing to add the CMP application as part of their ongoing fraud management efforts.
Currently processing 1.7 billion records a day for service providers, Equinox has helped companies stop fraud, mediate usage data, manage expense, and optimize revenue since 1986. Equinox has been working with HTC for over 14 years. The relationship started when HTC chose Equinox for a mediation system to automate the usage record transmission process.
HTC deployed Protector from Equinox in 2012 to monitor their network traffic. In 2014, HTC elected to add automatic blocking to further enhance their ability to mitigate loss and reduce risk associated with fraudulent usage. HTC upgraded to the CMP application as a part of their fraud management efforts this year.
The CMP application from Equinox has web-based research and response tools that allow investigation and incident closure to occur even more quickly from any location.
