Frost & Sullivan names Clarity International the OSS Vendor of the Year

Posted on June 18, 2007 Written by oss

Clarity, the telecommunication industry’s Operational Support System (OSS) business process automation company, has recently announced that Frost & Sullivan, a global growth consulting company, has recognized Clarity as the 2007 Telecom OSS Vendor of the Year in Asia Pacific. Clarity received the award as part of the 2007 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Awards, held in Singapore to recognize outstanding performance by companies in the Asia Pacific region in the field of information and communications technology (ICT).

A team of Frost & Sullivan analysts thoroughly researched and tracked the market performance of ICT companies in the Asia Pacific region to develop a short list of contenders. A panel of judges consisting of leading telecom operators and industry experts reviewed the findings of the analyst team, and using criteria such as new customer count, revenue growth, product innovation, and market performance, they determined that Clarity was this year’s most outstanding OSS solution vendor.

“Clarity continues to strengthen its presence in the Asia Pacific region as evidenced by the fact that the company doubled its customer base, and its clients now provide telecommunications services to over 90 million subscribers,” said Frost & Sullivan’s partner Manoj Menon. “Over the past 12 months, Clarity significantly grew its revenues and market share in the region by making entries into new geographical markets, and the company is in a strong position to continue this impressive performance in the years to come, especially as it enters into the high-growth markets of the Middle East and Europe . Clarity offers a truly unique value proposition with its unified OSS solution which delivers exceptional results in meeting customers’ needs.”

“This award is the direct result of our diligent efforts to establish a leading presence in the Asia Pacific region, and we are honoured that Frost & Sullivan now recognize Clarity as the region’s best OSS vendor,” said Clarity’s Executive Chairman, Dr. Ian Campbell . “Clarity’s unified OSS was instrumental in helping us secure this award as an increasing number of Asia Pacific operators have selected us as their OSS software of choice. Clearly the market is looking toward our unified OSS solution that eliminates the integration tax and also supports the launch of new services on both legacy and Next Generation Networks.”

Over the last year, Clarity won the largest number of OSS contracts in Asia Pacific, with such leading operators as

– Telekom Malaysia

– Philippines Long Distance Telephone Company

– PT Telkom in Indonesia
– PT Hutchison CP Telecommunications in Indonesia

The Frost & Sullivan Awards are presented to companies that demonstrate best practices in their industry, commending the diligence, commitment, and innovative business strategies required to advance in the global marketplace.

Associated to some of the biggest names in ICT, the 2007 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Awards seek to recognize companies and individuals that have pushed the boundaries of excellence – rising above the competition and demonstrating outstanding performance across Asia Pacific.

This year 26 prestigious titles were awarded within four main categories:
