Comarch and Tango Telecom Launch New Converged Billing System

Posted on February 12, 2007 Written by oss

Comarch, a leading billing systems supplier and Tango Telecom, a global mobile solutions provider, have formed a strategic partnership to offer mobile operators a leading edge billing solution for convergent services.

Comarch’s billing system and Tango Telecom’s iAX technology have been fully integrated to form a single solution – the Comarch Billing System for Convergent Services. This new system allows operators to cost-effectively introduce prepaid and post-paid subscriber and service convergence in their networks. The system integrates real-time voice and data network technologies and back-office settlement systems to a single charging platform. This reduces both opex and capex for the operator whilst simultaneously providing service differentiation.

The system seamlessly integrates all legacy network types regardless of subscriber numbers, from the smallest through to the largest deployments. The Comarch Billing System for Convergent Services also supports Parlay/OSA interfaces and can rapidly deploy new service models and integrate other third party systems regardless of network type.

“We are delighted with this joint initiative between Comarch and Tango Telecom. With the launch of our Billing System for Convergent Services, we are offering operators a solution which can deliver a faster time-to-market, greater flexibility in service segmentation and targeted marketing campaigns, and lower cost of ownership than ever before. We believe that our solution is one the most cost-effective and feature-rich convergent billing solutions available in the market today.” , says Krzysztof Kwiatkowski, Product Manager, Comarch.

“By integrating our successful iAX signaling platform with the Comarch Billing System for Convergent Services, Tango Telecom can extend our current reach, targeting new regions and operators, building on the established and trusted reputation of both our companys’ products. We are delighted to enter into this partnership with Comarch to offer operators the greatest flexibility of solutions design coupled with innovative marketing capabilities enabling them to differentiate themselves in the increasingly competitive telecoms arena.”, says Rory O’Toole, BDM of Tango Telecom.
