WeDo Soft has recently announced that the RAID project for AIS has been nominated as a finalist in the World BSS Awards 2007. The main purpose of this event is to demonstrate the importance of information management processes in the Telecommunications industry, to identify key trends and reward the best practices in BSS (Business Support Systems). Launched in 1997, this will be the 11th year in which these major awards have been presented.
AIS (Advanced Info Service plc), the biggest supplier of mobile telecommunications services in Thailand with a market share of more than 55% and more than 20 million customers, established a partnership with WeDo in 2006 through the implementation of the RAID system – Revenue Assurance Solution – a tool in the field of revenue assurance, which is recognized worldwide.
“AIS’s aim was to automate the Revenue Assurance end-to-end processes, including switch-to-bill monitoring and reconciling customer data. After a rigorous selection process AIS decided to implement the RAID solution, acknowledging its excellence as a single, tried and tested solution, easy to use and flexible for automating, managing and improving the revenue assurance processes”, said Mr. Ribeiro, General Manager Asia Pacific.
RAID by WeDo, a product recognised by various world analysts, allows AIS to maintain consistency and coherence between the network systems, BSS and OSS, and consequently to keep a check on revenue losses and maximize the company’s results.
The judges in this round of the World BSS Awards 2007 recently announced their decision on the companies nominated as finalists, but the winners will only be announced at the Billing & Information Management Systems 2007 Gala Dinner at the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, London, on Thursday 7th June 2007.
The category for the nomination is Best Revenue Assurance / Management Project (Network Operator / Service Provider / Partners). The prize will be awarded to the project which has contributed most to the improvement of the quality of company data and business processes, with a resultant increase in profits, revenue and/or cash flows.
WeDo will be present at the Billing Systems 07 event, at Stand nº C11, from 6th to 8th June.
