VOSS Transaction Volumes Top 70 Million

Posted on December 4, 2012 Written by oss

VOSS Solutions, a company that enables its customers to profit from cloud-based enterprise communications by simplifying the design, delivery and management of unified communications and collaboration services, announced that, to date, the VOSS technology has now carried out over 70 million system activity transactions for VOSS customers, and the number is rising fast.

Each of the 70 million+ business transactions represents a VOSS customer using the VOSS platform proactively, to carry out a task via their web-based GUIs or using bulk-provisioning. For example, a transaction might entail the migration of a phone onto a new platform, or assigning a new collaboration service to a user, or adding a new location and the entire dial plan configuration to the platform. Each individually recorded business transaction comprises multiple smaller workflow steps that take place “behind the scenes”, often configuring multiple separate systems in one step. By simplifying the administration of UC platform in this way, VOSS allows customers to manage their complex environments much more easily and cost effectively, with far fewer operational errors.

In the past year, the volume of transactions has risen by over 1 million per month. VOSS anticipates the number of transactions to continue to grow apace, as customers ramp up their end-user on-boarding, and deploy new collaboration services to their platform.

A key aspect of VOSS technology is providing tools that allow bulk-loading of business transactions in large volumes, from a few sites and hundreds of users and phone services, through to hundreds of sites and tens of thousands of users and phones. Using bulk-loading techniques, an administrator may process thousands of VOSS business transactions in a single job; greatly simplify the process of migrating and deploying multiple phones to a new communications platform. To date, the VOSS technology has carried out over 22,000 bulk loader transactions, enabling customers to use automation to rapidly deploy new customer sites, new users, and new devices, to their platform at the touch of a button. The number of bulk loader transactions is increasing by over 1,000 per month.
Henry Barton, VP Strategy at VOSS, commented; “As VOSS grows its customer base, and as more and more service providers and large enterprises become operational with the VOSS technology, we are seeing a significant increase in monthly transactions that are carried out on the platform. Transaction volumes and bulk-loader activity is a powerful measurement of the use of VOSS technology in the marketplace today.”
