VOSS Solutions today unveiled that the VOSS-4-UC management platform has been selected to perform a fundamental role in Italtel’s Collaboration at Work solution. The VOSS-4-UC management platform is one of the key elements of Italtel’s solution, providing advanced provisioning and operations management from a single pane of glass.

Collaboration at Work is a UC&C integrated architecture that allows organizations to achieve a unified and ergonomic user experience providing the best interoperability between multi-vendor communication technologies, by means of Italtel Session Border Control, NetMatch-S. The first release allows Cisco and Microsoft devices to coexist seamlessly, with Presence status and other UC settings automatically transferring across the different UC environments. Adopting Collaboration at Work, enterprises can benefit of faster business processes, increased individual and group productivity, enhanced employees’ mobility, and optimized use of video communications and multi-media conferences, together with significant savings in telecommunications expenses towards the operators (thanks to SIP trunking).

Italtel is the first partner in the world to harness the power of the VOSS-4-UC management platform to enable the cohabitation of Microsoft and Cisco telephony equipment in a single environment. Without VOSS, configuration would have to be carried out on the Cisco environment, the Microsoft environment and the Italtel Netmatch-S, for each and every user. With VOSS, this administrative complexity is absorbed and reduced to a few key strokes in the VOSS central management interface.
