Telephony(R), a Prism Business Media publication for telecom service providers, has announced a partnership with the TeleManagement Forum (TM Forum) to serve as the exclusive publisher of the Show Daily for TeleManagement World Americas 2006, Dec. 4-7 in Dallas. In addition to the online Show Daily and a series of e-newsletters related to the event, Telephony will produce a related print supplement on Operational and Business Support Systems (OSS/BSS) in conjunction with its November 6 issue.

“TeleManagement Americas is a unique event and its audience is at the center of transforming service provider networks and businesses to deliver a wide range of new services in today’s extremely competitive telecom environment,” said Mark Hickey, publisher of Telephony. “We are pleased to partner with the TM Forum at this important event and critical time in our industry.”

In addition to covering breaking news, live from the event, on a special TeleManagement World Americas 2006 microsite on TelephonyOnline.com, Telephony will produce and distribute seven Show Daily e-newsletters before, during and after the show, examining breaking news, events and technology updates. Each e-newsletter will reach more than 75,000 readers, including TM Forum members, TeleManagement World Americas 2006 attendees and Telephony’s opt-in subscribers.

As a prelude to the TeleManagement World Americas 2006 event, Telephony will publish its OSS/BSS supplement with the November 6 issue of Telephony. The supplement will take an in-depth look at how service providers are transforming their operations environments and businesses. Topics to be covered include the role of OSS in IMS architecture, new service creation and delivery capabilities, service bundling and optimization of customer experience, quality metrics for IPTV deployment, and the operational impact of fixed/mobile convergence. The supplement will be distributed at TeleManagement World Americas 2006 and on TelephonyOnline.com.

“The operational changes required by the introduction of new network and service capabilities are critical for all categories and sizes of service providers,” said Jason Meyers, Telephony’s director of content development. “Through this supplement and our coverage of the TeleManagement World Americas 2006 event, we will deliver a comprehensive content package on these topics to our telecom industry audience.”
