StreamServe and LHS Announce Strategic Partnership to Enable Enhanced Bill Presentment for Telecom Customers in 70 Countries

Posted on February 9, 2006 Written by oss

StreamServe(R) Inc. (www.streamserve.com), the global leader in Enterprise Document Presentment, and LHS, a leading provider of telecom billing and customer care systems, today announced a strategic partnership that will enable LHS to provide the most advanced invoicing capabilities available for their client companies.

The existing customer base of LHS’ client companies represent a potential for StreamServe Enterprise Document Presentment(TM) (EDP) and LHS’ Bill Presentment to create, assemble and present more than one billion invoices annually electronically and on paper, which speaks to the bullet-proof scalability of the StreamServe solution. LHS serves 70 countries, including markets in Europe, Asia, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa.

LHS offers a modular billing and customer care system, BSCS iX Series, which is pre-integrated with StreamServe EDP via LHS’ Bill Presentment Adapter. BSCS is used by wireless, wireline and IP communication service providers.

The solution will enable communication service providers to use the telecom bill as a marketing tool to better communicate with customers and improve customer relationships. They will also be able to send focused marketing messages on bills, leading to higher cross- and up-selling rates.

Automated processes and flexible integration improve business productivity and cut operational cost of document creation, management and distribution. By enabling communication service providers to combine electronic and print channels, they can shorten transaction cycles and accelerate cash flow.

In the highly competitive telecom market, providers are under continual pressure to deliver new services quickly and to explore new markets and respond to competitive threats. They need to pursue aggressive consumer-centric strategies and introduce new, targeted service bundles, brands and sales channels to increase the average revenue per user. With this proliferation comes a need to support a growing thicket of pricing rules, notification requirements and flexible customer communications across all applications and channels.

With the bill presentment solution by StreamServe and LHS, telecom companies are able to address those business challenges and strengthen competitiveness in international environments. LHS’ Bill Presentment helps communication service providers combine output from their billing system and other applications, such as customer service and marketing, to design and distribute integrated customer-facing documents with high levels of personalized information.

“By partnering with StreamServe, the market leader in Enterprise Document Presentment, LHS now provides customers with a flexible, dynamic and powerful bill presentment solution,” said Jens Troetscher, CTO of LHS. “StreamServe complements and extends our BSCS iX Series products enabling our customers to consolidate all business communication with their customers in one place – to reach new levels in customer retention, cross-selling and time-to-market for new products and services.”

“This is a compelling partnership,” said Chris Stone, president and CEO of StreamServe. “With LHS’ reach and strength in billing and customer care, and our expertise in Enterprise Document Presentment, there is no good reason we can’t become the world’s dominant player in the telecom bill presentment space.”
