Posted on April 7, 2008 Written by oss

After its selection of SKYLINE Communications’ flagship DataMiner multi-vendor network management platform for the end-to-end management of its solutions portfolio, ENENSYS Technologies announced today that it had achieved DataMiner Strategic Partner status. Leading operators across the globe have already deployed DataMiner, as it is one of the most advanced NMS available in the industry. Having open architecture and advanced capabilities, enable Enensys customers create an end-to-end perspective on their systems, across any vendor or technology boundaries.

David Bouchard, Product Manager at ENENSYS Technologies, said, “We are very excited about our new collaboration with Skyline. DataMiner is an extremely powerful management system and it will allow us to provide cutting-edge technology both from our solutions and from the management system points of view. With DataMiner, not only our systems are fully monitored but they are also automatically redundant thanks to DataMiner automatic switching intelligence.”

The strength of ENENSYS Technologies’ products, when it comes to interfacing with monitoring and management applications, is its unique SNMP centric architecture. SNMP is a pivotal component of every ENENSYS product design, and consequently every single parameter accessible via the device web interface or front panel, is guaranteed to be available through SNMP.

“Interfacing ENENSYS products with DataMiner could not have been easier thanks to ENENSYS products’ comprehensive native SNMP support. And hence it only took us a few minutes to get control over the units. By means of DataMiner’s powerful UI’s, real-time monitoring and control of ENENSYS products is now a breeze.” commented Koen Cools, DMS Application Engineering Manager at SKYLINE Communications.

The combination of these leading products will undoubtedly result in powerful applications for customers around the globe, and will enable them to reduce operational expenses, while at the same time increasing service quality and availability. The selection of an open architecture network management platform also underlines the commitment from ENENSYS Technologies to provide its customers with the best of breed, and to enable them to continue to leverage their investments. At NAB 2008, both ENENSYS Technologies (booth SU11111) and SKYLINE Communications (booth SU11411) will be presenting the latest innovations in their respective product lines.
