MBG Sees Invoice Processing Volume Soar as New Telemanagement Demand Drives Growth

Posted on February 8, 2006 Written by oss

MBG, a leading telemanagement provider for Global 2000 companies, reports a two-fold increase in the monthly volume of invoices it is processing, driven by companies using next generation telecom expense management (TEM) to receive and process more detailed electronic invoices and match charges to live inventory systems. Several new clients acquired in the multinational financial services and retail sectors reflect the increased importance of telecom expense management solutions to improve corporate controls, enhance customer service, and reduce overall costs.

Additional growth for MBG has also been achieved through existing clients who are expanding their use of MBG’s full suite of telemanagement solutions. These clients are achieving even tighter control of their telecommunications, wireless, and data expenses through easier identification of billing errors, service optimization, improved vendor management, and enhanced usage policy monitoring.

MBG’s ability to handle increased volumes is due to the company’s expertise in processing electronic telecom billing data and supporting automated processes to procure new services, identify billing errors, and validate charges against inventory and contracts.

“MBG’s success is based upon our ability to deliver a proven telecom expense management solution that leverages our unmatched ability to process electronic billing data and provide improved accessibility to clients for analysis and validation of their spend with a user friendly application,” says Richard Simons, chief operating officer for MBG. “Different from legacy paper-based invoice processing companies, MBG’s approach involves converting invoices into a useful electronic format and then delivering this information in a way that aligns with a client’s internal business processes. This allows our clients to drill deeper into their bills, gain a clear picture of what they are spending their money on, and ultimately utilize more efficient telecom services,” continues Simons.

MBG has developed its application in-house, building on best practice experiences developed with multinational clients. Clients often see a strong return on initial investment within the first 60 days of deployment, finding opportunities for savings due to billing errors and service optimization.
