GloBul selects LHS’ BSCS iX to launch 3G services

Posted on February 3, 2006 Written by oss

LHS today announces that Cosmo Bulgaria Mobile (GloBul) has selected BSCS iX to bill for its voice, data, content, and Internet services. GloBul Bulgaria, a subsidiary of the leading Greek mobile operator COSMOTE, selected BSCS iX to effectively launch 3G services. GloBul has just recently been awarded a 3G license. LHS will implement the system at GloBul replacing an old legacy system.

BSCS iX is a fully convergent end-to-end billing and customer care system. It offers GloBul the real-time rating and billing allowing for flexible tariff plans and promotions to be rolled out across both pre- and post-paid customers. BSCS iX will enable GloBul to quickly launch innovative 3G services and products, helping them to differentiate in the competitive Bulgarian market. Customers will benefit from having more products and services available at competitive tariffs and promotional offers.

Thanasis Katsiroubas, Chief Executive Officer, GloBul comments: “We chose BSCS iX because of its excellent rating and billing capabilities for 3G services. BSCS already has an excellent performance record for its reliability yet openness and flexibility at COSMOTE Greece, which were important criteria for GloBul.”

Wolfgang Kroh, Chief Operating Officer at LHS, adds: “We have a very long standing relationship with mobile operator COSMOTE enabling LHS to quickly understand GloBul’s business needs around the 3G launch. When GloBul searched for a new billing system, we were able to offer them an end-to-end billing solution that allows GloBul flexible tariffing options and enhanced marketing capabilities to bring to its customers.”

BSCS iX enables real-time business operations for the entire rating and billing process, thus reaching a new level of customer-centricity, from the point of sale to providing real-time charging information right up to real-time billing. Its modular design enables low risk step-wise migrations and easy integrations of the system.
