Former FTTH Council President Joins ETI Software

Posted on April 3, 2007 Written by oss

ETI Software Solutions, Inc. (www.etisoftware.com) has recently announced the appointment of Leonard Ray as Vice President, New Business Development. Mr. Ray will leverage his considerable experience, including tenure as president of the FTTH Council, to grow ETI’s business with municipal utilities building Fiber-to-the-Premise (FTTP) networks. He will also be responsible for cultivating relationships with ETI’s many technology partners.

“ETI is growing its business in a very exciting and sophisticated market that has enormous potential,” says Mr. Ray. “The company’s unique and proven technology makes it perfectly positioned to help municipal utilities launch FTTP services without excessive technology deployments and capital outlays.”

Mr. Ray was most recently Vice President, Business Development with Braselton, Georgia-based Atlantic Engineering Group, where he directed all sales and marketing activities for the broadband infrastructure engineering and construction firm. Prior to that, he was Market Development Manager for Corning Optical Fiber of the New York based Corning Incorporated, where he worked to accelerate the adoption and deployment of deep fiber outside plant material products and technologies.

Mr. Ray continues to serve on the FTTH Council’s Board of Directors, is chairman of its Government Relations Committee and is the author of the FTTH Council’s call for 100 Megabit Nation.

“We’re thrilled to have someone of Leonard’s caliber on the ETI team,” says Peter M. Pifer, President and CEO, ETI. “His considerable experience will be invaluable as we nurture our municipal utility customer base and help them successfully manage their FTTP deployments.”

Mr. Ray has an MBA from the University of Phoenix in Las Vegas, Nevada and a BS from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia.
