The world’s leading broadband event – Broadband World Forum 2011 – recently announced its largest conference programme including more global senior operator decision makers than ever before.

The show, taking place on 27-29 September 2011 at CNIT La Défense, Paris, has been expanded this year to include the Transport and Energy sectors, and contains two new forums – the Connected Transport Summit and the Smart Energy Summit – as well as the Executive Leadership Summit and four programme tracks.

Each day will start with a series of keynote sessions from a number of global industry executives, including Pervasive Services Propelling Broadband Transformation and Leveraging the Cloud for Network Evolution. This year’s keynote line-up includes:
• Johan Wibergh, Executive Vice President, Member of Management Board, Head of Business Unit Networks, Ericsson
• Kevin Tao, CEO, Huawei Western Europe
• Kevin Lo, General Manager, Google
• Myung Sung Lee, Senior Vice President, Technology Strategy, CTO and Executive Vice President, u-CityBusiness Division, SK Telecom
• Eric Klinker, CEO, BitTorrent Inc
• Rajeev Suri, Chief Executive Officer, NokiaSiemensNetworks
• Adolfo Hernandez, President Europe, Alcatel-Lucent

Gavin Whitechurch, director of the Broadband World Forum, commented: “The Broadband World Forum brings together the world’s top technology decision makers, and this year’s programme has been packed with an incredible array of service provider speakers from both developed and high growth markets.

“This truly takes the event to a new level and delivers something that has never been seen before, at this event, or in the broadband industry.”

Now in its 11th year, Broadband World Forum 2011 has long been established as the place to meet and discuss the commercial and technical opportunities, developments and issues surrounding broadband. Its four streams – Broadband Business Strategy, Broadband Service Deployment, Network Evolution, and Access Evolution – which include 12 separate tracks, will run across the three days.

Gavin added: “The content has been further developed to ensure a strong appeal to business and strategic focussed personnel from service providers, as well as their technical counterparts, with the addition of the new Broadband Business Strategy track.”

The new conference structure for 2011 is in response to delegate feedback and now features analyst breakfast briefings, more keynote sessions, a choice of four conference tracks and a world-class exhibition including 200 companies. In addition the Broadband InfoVision Awards 2011 will be presented during a full gala dinner cruise on the evening of day one.
