ACE*COMM Introduces Network Business Intelligence Capabilities for Enterprise Telecom Systems

Posted on March 7, 2006 Written by oss

ACE*COMM Corporation (NASDAQ:ACEC), a global provider of network business intelligence and advanced operations support systems (OSS) solutions, today introduced the ACE*COMM Network Business Intelligence(TM) (NBI) suite for enterprise telecommunications environments at the VoiceCon Spring 2006, March 6-9, a leading industry forum for business IP telephony.

NBI Enterprise solutions solve telecommunications management problems from a holistic perspective, through the integration of network, user, and services data. ACE*COMM’s NBI solutions are already providing revenue assurance, asset recovery, and operational efficiency to service providers in both Europe and North America. ACE*COMM is now gearing its NBI technology and benefits to enterprise communications networks.

“NBI Enterprise is tailored to the specific needs of today’s corporate telecommunications operations,” said Chris Couch, Chief Marketing Officer at ACE*COMM. “It matches services and network asset utilization to the actual needs of users in order to contain costs and recover underused or dormant assets. It also provides data quality management (DQM) support for improved overall communications efficiency. Our NBI solutions have a compelling record of ROI achievement in carrier environments. We look forward to achieving similar results for our enterprise customers.”

NBI Enterprise benefits include:

Asset Recovery
Asset recovery efforts identify and reconcile errors in network configuration, and in the network data contained in operations support systems (OSS). This results in better use of network assets which can help avoid capital expenditures.

Cost Control
NBI allows enterprise telecommunications managers to match a network view of assets deployed and services delivered with an end user view of needs. This allows management to reduce costs through more efficient allocation of resources and reduction of waste and fraudulent or unnecessary use.

Data Quality Management
DQM improves the quality of operational data that is contained in network, operational, and business support systems. The quality of data directly affects the efficiency of communications; from proper operation of the network, to provisioning users, to accurate call accounting. DQM provides both pattern analysis and data discrepancy analysis features, to ensure that network, services, and user data are in synch and accurate.

The NBI Enterprise platform is well-suited to perform ongoing data quality audit and reconciliation functions, particularly when used in conjunction with ACE*COMM’s NetPlus(R) enterprise operations support system (EOSS) for data collection and integration. Its arms-length position from NetPlus(R), or any other enterprise OSS and BSS system, makes it a good choice for a system audit mechanism.

ACE*COMM will be previewing NBI Enterprise in Booth # 1010 at VoiceCon Spring 2006. For more information visit: http://www.voicecon.com/spring/
