telecommunications service providers has selected MetaSolv to implement
a complete ordering and inventory management solution to support
convergent telecommunication services.
This leading operator in the world�s largest and fastest growing
telecommunications market needed a world-class, flexible and
high-performance inventory management solution to handle its aggressive
growth plans from a wide range of existing and next-generation services.
The operator currently supports millions of subscribers with a portfolio
of voice and data services, including wireless, local loop, and
broadband DSL.
After a competitive RFP process, the Chinese incumbent chose MetaSolv�s
Objectel and OMS products as the core of its next-generation operational
support system. The decision was based on MetaSolv�s industry

MetaSolv has partnered with a major global systems integrator to execute
the delivery and implementation, while leveraging MetaSolv�s

The inventory system will be used to manage end-to-end services from the
customer premise through to core network, including copper local loop,
address and number management, capacity assignment and path analysis. It
was critical that the single, central system be localized to support
simplified Chinese language as well as support traditional voice,
broadband data and wireless local loop, along with next generation
technologies necessary for this growing market. The underlying
flexibility will allow MetaSolv, the global systems integrator, and the
service provider to maximize efficiencies while driving new revenue.
