XINTEC’s FMSlite Fraud Management System Puts the Brakes on Revenue Losses

10:54 am   -   August 28th, 2008

XINTEC announces the release of FMSlite, which is a new generation lightweight, efficient and powerful Fraud Management System (FMS) designed to combat roaming and domestic telecom fraud.

Adding to XINTEC’s portfolio of innovative roaming and NRTRDE solutions, this unique FMS will give operators immediate access to critical information at a fraction of the cost of a full blown “total” FMS. More than just detecting fraud in near real time, FMSlite will allow operators to effectively and consistently manage irregular subscriber activity on their network so that remedial action can be taken.

FMSlite outstrips the standards specified by the GSM Association’s NRTRDE initiative, providing flexible interfaces and fully automated processing of file statistics and reports. Fraud parameters, hotlisting, service level agreement configuration, and even a self-learning module can be easily set up from the ergonomic Web based Graphical User Interface.

FMSlite loads information from different sources into a central database and applies business rules to detect/identify suspicious roaming usage, producing alarms, SMS alerts, and enabling different types of analysis and reports.

According to the GSM Association, the NRTRDE process must be simple to keep costs down, and to help facilitate the adoption by operators unequipped for high levels of complexity. FMSlite fulfils all such criteria, and is ideally suited to operators wanting to avoid expensive fraud system vendors, and to reduce their dependency on data clearing houses whose actions are mostly limited to just fraud detection.
