WeDo technologies launched Data Retention Product, Version 4.0

4:29 pm   -   July 18th, 2008

WeDo technologies announced the release of Search Version 4.0, the product designed to store and retrieve data in an easy and secure way.

In today’s society where the threat of terrorism and criminality is ever increasing, criminals are becoming more sophisticated in utilizing telecom networks to prepare and execute their plans. In an attempt to combat this, governments are putting pressure on operators to be able to retrieve communication data as rapidly as possible. Search Version 4.0 from WeDo Technologies allows operators to store vast amounts of data over a long period of time, and increases their ability to respond to requests for information as quickly as possible.

Specific built-in features improve the functionality of the solution and allow operators to perform a variety of searches very simply. Access to the information is strictly controlled, preventing misuse of confidential information. Multiple output formats are available and the search results can be stored for the time defined in the legal request allowing the operator to accomplish all the delivery data requisites.

This high performance solution reduces storage costs and increases accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.

“The continuous market research that WeDo conducts led us to identify a gap in the market for a product such as Search Version 4.0. For example in Europe, an EU directive (Directive 2006/24/EC), asserts that member States shall ensure that the categories of data specified are retained for periods of not less than six months and not more than two years from the date of the communication. This product will increase operators ability to store data, improving their performance and enabling them to increase their response time for law enforcement agencies,” said João Moita, WeDo Technologies General Manager for Central & Eastern Europe.
