Volubill Charges Forward with 84 percent Revenue Growth in 2008
Policy Control and Real-Time Charging Prove to be key drivers for effective Bandwidth Management and Service Profitability
London, United Kingdom—16 February 2009—Volubill, a leading supplier of real-time charging and control applications for mobile data and content services, today reported another year of stellar revenue growth. The company’s CHARGE-ITTM family of products have proven to be instrumental in helping service providers, especially those within emerging markets, charge for data services and manage bandwidth across fixed and mobile broadband networks—and ultimately increase revenue and advanced service options.
Volubill’s revenues grew by 84% in 2008, with Q4 (October through December) representing the best in the company’s history. Volubill was recognized as one of the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 in EMEA having now achieved over 500% percent revenue growth over the past three years.
In 2008, the company’s growth was realized through significant repeat business with existing customers as well as major wins with new customers, including DIGICEL in Honduras and Panama, Excelcomindo in Indonesia, Globacom in Ghana and Zain group in the Middle East. Volubill’s CHARGE-IT solutions are now being used within 15 ORANGE markets worldwide.
This year, Volubill has provided its solutions to more than 250 million subscribers through its five largest mobile operator customers. The company predicts that these five accounts will experience 200 to 500% growth in data volumes over the next 12 months.
“Due in large part to the capabilities, power and relevance of our solutions to the mobile data revolution, Volubill has made significant strides within the competitive telecom marketplace during uncertain economic times,” said John Aalbers, Chief Executive Officer, Volubill. “We provide solutions that are seen as ‘must have’ by operators as they directly lead to increased revenues and reduced costs. In 2009 we expect to continue delivering rapid value to our customers. Our unique Usage Policy Management solution enables operators to defer costly network upgrades, which is a major issue for mobile operators today as they struggle to keep up with the demand for bandwidth.”
Volubill will be exhibiting at Mobile World Congress in Hall 1 Stand 181B.
