UPC Broadband Selects NetCracker’s Network and Service Provisioning Solution
NetCracker Technology has recently announced that UPC, Europe’s largest cable operator, has selected NetCracker’s Service and Network Provisioning solution to be used for network and service management across its 8-country corporate footprint. UPC Broadband, the second largest cable operator in the world, has approximately 10 million subscribers, and is one of Europe’s most innovative broadband communications companies. They provide video, broadband, and high-speed Internet access, as well as traditional, VoIP, and mobile telephony services to their residential and business customers.
“We are rapidly deploying new converged services and network capabilities throughout our customer base,” said Bonnie Gray, Chief Network Officer at UPC Broadband. “The flexibility of NetCracker’s platform allows us to adapt quickly to changing market and customer needs. In addition, we are able to transform our service layer through NetCracker’s Service Inventory module.”
NetCracker’s Service and Network Provisioning solutions will enable UPC Broadband to reduce operational costs associated with maintaining multiple legacy systems and achieve faster time to revenue from new, converged services like Triple Play. UPC Broadband will deploy NetCracker’s service assurance and service fulfillment modules-including Service and Resource Inventory-for residential and business services.
“NetCracker’s integration and service delivery experience in Tier 1 accounts worldwide was a key factor in their being selected for our multi-country implementation,” said Mehrdad Mansourpour, managing director and chief information officer for UPC Broadband. “We are now able to reduce the cost of integration and operations.”
“UPC Broadband is embarking on a major business transformation as they consolidate their operations support systems across their large geographic footprint,” said Andrew Feinberg, president and CEO of NetCracker Technology. “With NetCracker’s best-in-class solutions, UPC Broadband will be able to focus on its customers and their services, while streamlining operations and increasing successful order processing.”
