Tribold Fits The Bill For Billing & OSS World’s Theme of Orchestration

7:28 am   -   April 18th, 2007

Tribold, the world’s leading provider of Product Management enterprise software for Communication Service Providers (CSPs), has announced their presence at Billing & OSS World 2007 in Chicago, 25th-27th April. Stand 221 will see Tribold demonstrating how to overcome one of the biggest OSS / BSS challenges of the year – product management (PM). On its stand, Tribold will also be showcasing the latest release of its Product Portfolio Manager (PPM) software application for CSPs.

Tribold’s PPM software application directly addresses the event’s theme of orchestration by highlighting the route to rapid delivery of new services through effective product management, how to reduce network complexity and cost through the consolidation of multiple products into a single catalog, and the overall business benefits of a single, centralized PM strategy.

“Orchestration is a fitting theme for the show with CSPs demanding it like never before. Be it orchestrating the convergence of disparate operations into one platform, the integration of fixed and mobile services, or the transition from communication provider to multimedia provider, CSPs want it done quicker, more efficiently and with higher cost effectiveness – quite a challenge,” said Simon Muderack, CEO at Tribold. “Providing CSPs with a single view of all products and services offered, enables them to understand key product management metrics, such as profitability and predictive analysis, based onaccurate information. In today’s converged world, the ability to rapidly adapt to changing trends in customer demands has a direct affect on the provider’s bottom line.”

According to new Yankee Group research, the seismic shift in customer demand for new personalized services is exposing major weaknesses in the PM strategies of major CSPs. The report highlights a massively fragmented PM environment where responsibilities are blurred, current tools are ‘often simplistic and, at worst, amateurish’, and reliance on manual processes can double product launch timescales.

Commissioned by Tribold and conducted by Yankee Group, the Serving Generation Me: Why Product Management Needs to Work Smarter report gathered in depth data and responses on current PM strategies of global CSPs. Additionally, following the February 2007 landmark OEM partnership, Convergys (also exhibiting at Billing & OSS World 2007, on Stand 700) has integrated Tribold’s PPM software application into its Infinys Business Support System – enabling CSP customers to centralize vital product data into a single enterprise catalog, improving data integration, product lifecycle management, business intelligence and channel management.

As evidenced by the partnership with Convergys, and the key role played by Tribold PPM in the product transformation project in one of the world’s most advanced CSPs, Tribold provides a unique solution to addresses these challenges.

Tribold is available to discuss the new Convergys partnership and to showcase its market leading PPM software solution. To meet Tribold at Billing & OSS World 2007, please contact Dan Purvis or visit its stand, 221.
