Triad’s Latest Interface Supports Integra5’s On-screen Caller ID Feature

11:14 pm   -   March 26th, 2008

Single OSS provisioning solution now offers manufacturer specific interfaces to over 35 voice, video and data technology platforms.

Triad, the flagship OSS provisioning solution of Enhanced Telecommunications d/b/a ETI Software Solutions, Inc., has been successfully interfaced to the Integra5 on-screen caller ID platform. This interface enables the Integra5 platform, which is capable of displaying caller ID information like the caller’s name and telephone number on a cable subscriber’s television screen, to be easily integrated into any billing solution.

ETI is a leading provider of automated, flow-through service activation software having mastered provisioning triple play services over HFC, copper, or Fiber-to-the-Home networks. This latest interface to Integra5 increases the number of fully developed and deployed interfaces available in the Triad solution to more than 35 telecommunications service delivery interfaces.

The Integra5 solution instantly delivers caller information such as name and number to the subscriber’s TV screen, in a convenient and easy-to-read format. As a centralized OSS, Triad’s database provides details about the subscriber’s video set tops and telephone numbers, information vital to the Integra5 engine. This new technology interface complements ETI’s already robust suite, and it’s been engineered to work with any digital video controller technology already supported by Triad.

“This application allows subscribers to decide how to handle a call before they pick up the phone,” says Peter M. Pifer, president and CEO, ETI Software Solutions. “When their telephone rings, users do not have to interrupt their program to reach for their phone to see who is calling. The caller ID information automatically pops up on their TV allowing them to make an informed decision as to whether or not to take the call.”

“This new interface from ETI is proving to be a great retention tool for us,” adds Mark Henry Vice President, Operations, Duo County Telephone. “Having tested the application with our subscriber base, we note it clearly has succeeded in creating a ’sticky’ environment, increasing our revenues and setting us apart from competing satellite services. It’s all about creating a holistic experience for our customers, and this feature positions us very well.”

With triple and quad play bundles proliferating, and each service having its own in-home device (TV, PC, and telephone line), a lucrative next step for providers is to leverage the services and offer new and exciting services, blending voice, video, data, and wireless into real-time converged services.

“Our telephone customers have been successfully offering video services for years, now they are focusing on adding real-time applications to their service portfolios,” adds Pifer. “By adding Integra5 to our solutions we are delivering the best user experience and continue to offer the types of services and applications that drive brand loyalty and revenue.”
