Toronto Hydro Telecom Replaces OSS with Digital Fairway Solution

5:11 pm   -   March 28th, 2007

Digital Fairway Corporation (www.digitalfairway.com), a leader in communications management software and automated end-to-end service delivery solutions, has recently announced that Toronto Hydro Telecom has selected its ProvergentOSS software platform for order management, workflow processes and circuit and equipment inventory management. ProvergentOSS will expand with Toronto Hydro Telecom’s provisioning capabilities as it introduces new service offerings and grows its customer base.

ProvergentOSS gives telecommunications service providers a carrier-class Operations Support System (OSS) that facilitates the fast, efficient and accurate provisioning of telecom services. This enables them to adapt easily to changing market conditions and respond quickly to increasing demands from customers for new services such as streaming media, mobile Internet and personalized IP services.

“ProvergentOSS not only provides Toronto Hydro Telecom with the ability to meet its current service deployment imperatives, but also provides the company with a platform that is flexible enough to support all its future, varied service provisioning needs,” says Digital Fairway CEO Joe Warnement.”

With the Digital Fairway solution, Toronto Hydro Telecom will have an advanced workflow engine to help manage the complete lifecycle to provision service requests across departments, including real-time interaction with the inventory management system.

“Following a rigorous due diligence process, we were pleased to find the right solution with Digital Fairway,” says Ian Collins, Vice President, Operations, Toronto Hydro Telecom. “ProvergentOSS gives us a broad view of our service spectrum plus a detailed view of individual service offerings, which is quite unique in this product category. We are well-positioned to fulfill service orders quickly, accurately and efficiently as we grow our customer base and we are also able to achieve our goal of fully automated end-to-end service provisioning.”

ProvergentOSS is based on the Provergent Platform, which is specifically designed to support communication services operations and management, and integrates best practices across the entire communications supply chain, making it the ideal communications service delivery solution for all Communications Service Providers.

ProvergentOSS aligns with structured process improvement frameworks such as the TeleManagement Forum’s Next Generation OSS (NGOSS), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and the Control Objectives for Information and related Technology (COBIT) to promote ongoing telecommunications, enterprise IT governance and quality improvement initiatives.
