Three Telcos Choose OMNIAâ„¢ in Order to Quickly Go to Market with New Products and Services
Martin Group, the nationwide leader of Software, Business Services, and Engineering for communications providers, today announced that Cap Rock Telephone Cooperative Inc., Interstate Telecommunications Cooperative, and Star Telephone Membership Corp. have selected Martin Group’s next generation customer care and billing software solution, OMNIA™. OMNIA provides each telephone company with the capability to quickly go to market with new products and services that all communications providers need in order to successfully compete with encroaching Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), cable, and wireless providers.
Cap Rock Telephone Cooperative Inc., based in Spur, Texas, is a west Texas Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier (ILEC) currently offering customers voice, video, data, and wireless services. Cap Rock has utilized VMS, Martin Group’s USOC-based customer care and billing solution, for a number of years. Recognizing the need to consolidate its billing systems and bring wireless billing in-house, gaining the ability to offer the Grand Slam bundle, Cap Rock again turned to Martin Group for its software solution and decided to upgrade to OMNIA. Implementing OMNIA will allow Cap Rock to increase productivity and decrease operating expenses. Cap Rock will continue to use OASIS for automated provisioning and facilities management, which operates with both VMS and OMNIA, making for a seamless conversion.
As one of the first VMS customer care and billing software clients, Interstate Telecommunications Cooperative (ITC) of Clear Lake, SD has continued its partnership with Martin Group. Assessing its needs in an ever-evolving industry, ITC recognized a need to establish a flexible billing solution with more configurability. Already a VMS and OASIS client, the company decided that Martin Group could once again provide them with the right solution and chose to upgrade to OMNIA. The company will also employ Martin Group’s engineering services. By implementing OMNIA before deployment of new services, ITC will have the ability to immediately invoice customers and remain a step ahead of its competitors.
Star Telephone Membership Corp., based in Clinton, NC, needed a convergent billing system that would allow them to serve their 20,000 customers more cost effectively while continuing to offer the best services available. With the anticipation of rolling out digital video to new territories, they sought a solution that would be able to handle existing customers as well as future growth. As an existing Martin Group client, Star Telephone was confident that Martin Group possessed the right solution for their latest needs. Star Telephone chose to upgrade to OMNIA, which will allow them to replace all four of their separate billing applications and reduce operating costs.
Jim Odom, Martin Group’s CEO, notes that, “Cap Rock, Star Telephone, and ITC recognize that OMNIA is the only complete next generation solution available today. We are proud to provide these companies with an integrated solution enabling them to offer exceptional customer service and manage revenue effectively and efficiently.”
