Opsware Inc. (NASDAQ:OPSW), the leading provider of IT Automation software, today announced the expansion of its global reseller network with the addition of Teleca Limited, a leading pan-European Systems Integrator and provider of IT Operational and Business Support Systems (OSS & BSS). Based in the UK with a parent company in Sweden, Teleca will distribute Opsware’s IT automation software globally, with an emphasis in the UK, Eire, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Iceland.

“The last 12 months have seen a renewed effort by wireless, wireline and Internet service providers to reduce operational expenditures whilst stretching ever decreasing capital expenditures over new business requirements. Opsware’s IT automation software provides us with a new weapon in our armoury to fight down costs and vastly improve efficiency levels,” commented Brian Tuckey, business development manager at Teleca. “We are increasingly asked to address ‘business pains’ rather than ‘technological problems’ and customers are demanding new approaches to achieving this, with ever reducing ROI times coupled with provable business benefits. Opsware allows us to deliver a business solution that matters to all operational stakeholders.”

Focused on IT solutions that leverage existing investment, Teleca will resell Opsware’s Network Automation System (NAS) as part of its independent turnkey solutions providing consolidated management for Carrier, IP and Access Network technologies. As an authorised Opsware reseller, Teleca will receive extensive sales and marketing support and in-depth training through Opsware’s partner web site, online seminars and web-based sales and technical training programs.

“Teleca is an established leader in delivering pan-European business solutions, providing Opsware with a strong presence in the Telco marketplace throughout the British Isles and Scandinavia,” said Remy Dubois, vice president, EMEA for Opsware Inc. “Our partnership with Teleca allows Opsware to operate uniquely on both the network and device handset sides of the industry to deliver reduced costs and greater efficiencies for enterprise customers.”

Teleca adds to Opsware’s growing network of worldwide distributors, now totalling over 45 partners. Opsware’s growing reseller network expands Opsware’s reach to enterprises worldwide that are looking to reduce costs and increase efficiencies from their IT infrastructure.
