Tanzania Telecommunications Company Installs FTS End-to-End Billing Solution

2:28 pm   -   November 18th, 2008

Today at AfricaCom 2008, it was announced that Tanzania Telecommunications Company Ltd. (TTCL), Tanzania’s main telecommunications operator, has successfully deployed FTS’ end-to-end billing solution.

The solution supplied to TTCL will enable the Tanzanian operator to provide customer care, rating, billing, provisioning, and interconnect services over both wireline and wireless networks to its subscribers.

“We are very pleased with the deployment of FTS’ Leap’ billing solution,” said Mr. Arnold Masaro, Head of Information Systems at TTCL. “FTS has executed an excellent project, performing beyond our expectations. Thanks to this implementation, we can now offer more and improved services to our customers. As we continue to grow, we expect the FTS solution to grow with us and are very confident it will enable us to improve our business processes while providing a better service to our growing customer base.”

“The deployment of this end-to-end billing and customer care solution in Tanzania is further proof of our commitment to the African market,” said Shamir Efrony, Africa Sales Director, FTS. “We have a strong portfolio of implementations in this continent, and expect to keep increasing our presence in this growing market. The platform will enable Tanzania Telecommunications to interface smoothly with virtually all types of network elements while providing additional services. Furthermore, Leap’s interfaces with TTCL’s wireless network will allow the operator to support prepaid management independently, without FTS’ intervention.”
