Surviving to Thriving at TM Forum’s Management World Americas 2009

TM Forum, the world’s premier industry group focused on business effectiveness for the communications and media sectors, has confirmed details of its tenth annual Management World Americas conference. The premier communications conference for the Americas will be held at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida from December 8 to 10, 2009. This year’s event focuses on making profitable, innovative new business models a reality, and on operational excellence as an enabler for long-term success.

With a theme of ‘Surviving to Thriving: New Business Models, New Services, New Profits’, the annual conference, now in its tenth year, includes an impressive group of keynote speakers, active roundtable debate, interactive presentations, case-studies and live demonstrations across four conference summits: New Services and Business Models, IT and Operational Excellence, Revenue Management and Billing, and Customer Experience.

A strong line-up of keynote speakers from the communications, entertainment and media industries have already confirmed participation. Service provider executives scheduled to speak include:
• Virgin Mobile USA COO, Jonathan Marchbank;
• Verizon Communications CIO, Fari Ebrahimi;
• Qwest Executive VP and Board Member, Neil Cox;
• Frontier Communications CIO Steve Ward;

These are joined by leaders from other parts of the increasingly converging communications industry including Tom Lam, Advisor to the Secretary of Defense for the US Department of Defense’s NetOps initiative; Peter Feldman, Net Neutrality and Broadband Stimulus expert for communications law firm Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth plc; and Jim Donio, President of the National Association of Recording Merchandisers.

The conference content will be supported by the latest TM Forum Certified training courses, along with Forumville – TM Forum’s innovation zone, offering live demonstrations of TM Forum collaborative solutions, including the latest developments in TM Forum’s IPsphere Framework and the next stage in the Forum’s Cloud Computing Catalyst project.
