Subex Leads Market in Business Optimization for 2nd Year

6:15 pm   -   November 18th, 2009

Subex Limited, a leading global provider of Operations and Business Support Systems (OSS/BSS), has been reported as the market leader in Business Optimization for the second year in succession, by Analysys Mason in its report on the billing market, Billing Market Review: 2008 – 2013, released in November 2009. Subex emerged the market leader in this space last year as well.

Peter Mottishaw, Principal Analyst at Analysys Mason said, “Subex extends its leadership in Business Optimization this year as well mainly because of its revenue assurance and fraud management expertise. It has a strong base of business in North America and Western Europe and has also grown in emerging markets. Its Revenue Operations Center (ROC) combines a number of Business Optimization products under a common dashboard, which CSPs find beneficial to improve their operations. “

Business Optimization is the sum total of business collections, network cost management, analytics, and data retention. It embraces a range of application areas that help CSPs run their business more profitably. These include fraud management, revenue assurance, expense management, credit validation and analytics. This segment is 17 percent of the total spending today, behind rating and pricing, and the second largest in the billing segment. The report estimates that Business Optimization will grow at 5 percent CAGR over the forecast period, but from 2010 to 2013 the growth rate will improve to 8 percent CAGR.

The report further also indicates that Business Optimization will soon play a significant role in supporting Customer Experience Management (CEM), a crucial aspect today in the CSP’s current plans for new systems.

Subash Menon, Founder Chairman, Managing Director and CEO, Subex Ltd said, “This recognition is a testimony to our sustained efforts in maintaining our market leadership, and we will continue to invest in improving our solutions to meet the dynamic needs of the telecom industry. The ROC will help communication service providers realize optimal operational efficiencies and ensure robust business management in order to provide better experience to their customers. We are delighted to be recognized as the market leader in Business Optimization yet again. “
