Subex Launches NetProvision 6.1 Provisioning and Activation Solution

7:38 am   -   January 13th, 2010

Subex Limited, a leading global provider of Operations and Business Support Systems (OSS/BSS), has launched NetProvision (NetP) 6.1, a multi-service, multi-technology, multi-vendor fulfillment solution used to automate the provisioning and activation of wireline connectivity services for Enterprise VPN and residential broadband services. NetP 6.1 allows service providers to eliminate the focus on vendor specific details by ensuring services are configured using consistent processes, irrespective of the vendor, technology or topology across the network infrastructure.

The solution is designed to increase service providers’ revenues, decrease time-to-market and operation costs by automating design and activation of complex connectivity services, enabling flow-through provisioning of next-generation Carrier Ethernet and IP-based offerings. With its modular, extensible, and scalable design, NetP 6.1 enables Communications Service Providers (CSPs) to rapidly introduce new services and service options in a more efficient manner. Further, NetP 6.1 provides full support for Metro Ethernet Forum’s (MEF) services including E-line, E-LAN and E-Tree, as well as Layer 3 services such as Dedicated Internet Access and BGP/MPLS IP VPNs. With its wide variety of off-the-shelf equipment modules, users can provision IP and Carrier Ethernet services on any combination of leading network vendors.

NetP 6.1 has a streamlined interface and simplified profile management capability which allow operators to more easily and quickly provision complex services by navigating the operator to the mission critical information required to deliver the services as quickly as possible.

Some of the key features of NetP 6.1 are –
– MEF-Compliancy – provisioning of MEF-compliant services including E-LINE, E-LAN and E-Tree
– Service flexibility –Service feature reuse and bundling, service consistency across different vendors (JUNOS, IOS XR, Huawei and others)
– Performance and Scalability - 64-bit architecture
– Improved Interoperability (FTI Server) –operator productivity, reduced fallout and enhanced customer experience
– Oracle support –Higher availability and resiliency

NetProvision 6.1 is market ready.
