Subex Azure Deploys Moneta Revenue Assurance System at US-Based Tier One Telecom Operator

6:19 am   -   July 11th, 2007

Subex Azure Ltd, a leading global provider of OSS solutions for telecom operators, has deployed its Moneta(TM) revenue assurance system for a major Tier-1 telecom operator in the U.S., further strengthening the company’s position as the leader in enterprise-wide deployments of revenue assurance, fraud and interconnect systems.

Commenting on the deal, Subash Menon, Founder Chairman, Managing Director & CEO, Subex Azure Ltd said, “This deal is further evidence of Subex Azure’s ability to deliver solutions to the world’s largest carriers. We take great pride in seeing our customers realize immediate benefits upon implementation of our proven technology.”

The company selected Subex Azure to help monitor and maximize its entire revenue chain in the wake of a series of acquisitions that posed an increased possibility of revenue leakage. The operator required a scalable revenue assurance solution that included analytics, comprehensive reporting, case management and workflow capabilities that enables the end-to-end, automated management of the entire revenue chain. The operator chose Moneta to replace its in-house revenue assurance solution that lacked the high-volume processing, workflow and automated correction capabilities needed to identify and resolve potential revenue losses.

A component of the Subex Azure’s Rocware (TM) suite of revenue maximization solutions, Moneta is the leading solution for ensuring the health and vitality of a telecom operator’s revenue chain. It helps tackle critical revenue assurance challenges across the entire revenue chain and provides unprecedented automated correction capabilities to improve bottom-line results and provide a quick return-on-investment. Moneta includes pre-configured solution templates that address revenue assurance issues across areas such as service fulfillment, usage integrity, retail billing, interconnect/wholesale billing and content settlement.

The operator identified the following benefits of deploying Moneta:
- More timely, detailed customer traffic information
- Consolidated revenue leakage management capabilities via cross-system revenue chain diagnostics, analytics, reporting and workflow
- Enriched and complete customer traffic analytics to help improve forecast accuracy
- Judicious root cause identification and correction with concise, accurate data
- New revenue impact prioritization capabilities
- The ability to scale the revenue assurance program across the enterprise and to easily integrate related applications, like fraud management and interconnect billing

After just one quarter of having the Moneta system in operation the telecom operator experienced a dramatic reduction in the number of unbillable errors – and easily achieved a return-on-investment ahead of scheduled forecasts.

Additional results of the deployment include:
- Added control points and data for managing the integration of acquired companies and assets
- Expansion into other product and service offerings
- Strategic roadmaps for integrated cost, reciprocal compensation, fraud and service assurance analysis
