Streaming21 Presents Innovative Digital Home Technology at Microsoft Windows Server Conference

Streaming21, the world leader in broadcast-quality streaming solutions, and Microsoft (NASDAQ “MSFT”) Embedded Sever team, will present their fully-integrated end-to-end digital home and IPTV solutions at Microsoft Windows Server Conference on August 29 in Microsoft’s ShenZhen office. A new innovation of fully-integrated Home Server, which enables to manage personal contents (such as photos, videos and music) and control digital home devices based on recently released Microsoft Home Server, will make its public debut at the seminar.

Streaming21’s Home IP delivery platform is seamlessly integrated with Microsoft Home Server and Windows Storage Server 2003 R2, making it easy to add or expand applications. The unique Home Sever acts as the central control for digital home applications such as entertainment, automation, surveillance and communication applications. In contrast to traditional Home Servers that only serve as extensible storage, the innovative platform make ubiquitous access of killer applications for the digital home a market reality. Unlike other PC-based home server products, the platform enables media display on TVs and provides an easy management system for personal content through the PC.

The demonstration will showcase the revolutionary platform enabling digital home “killer apps” on IA devices and home appliances through wired and wireless IP networks. It will also demonstrate a new generation of Web 2.0 concepts that are inspired by the universal desire to create community and share personal content (such as photos, videos and music) on TV with friends and family through easy web-based management. Other key features include Digital Home Theater, Personal Video Recorder (PVR), Video on Demand (VOD) with trick play capability, Photo Bank, Real-Time Information Dashboard (RSS: News, Weather, Stocks, and more).
