3:17 pm   -   April 25th, 2007

SES AMERICOM, the largest supplier of satellite services in the United States, has selected ETI Software Solutions, Inc. to implement robust subscriber management and billing capability with its IP-PRIME® service.

SES AMERICOM’s IP-PRIME equips telcos with the ability to maximize customer retention by selling new bundled services to existing customer bases and offering hundreds of channels from their satellite system seamlessly to the set-top box or the central office head-end.

IP-PRIME combines video expertise, aggregated content, centralized management and best-in-breed partners in one powerful package so telcos can easily accelerate the growth of their video offerings to subscribers.

“Standardized, robust subscriber management and accurate billing data for services is critical to any service provider launching or delivering video services,” says Alan Young, Chief Technology Officer, SES AMERICOM. “ETI’s 15-year track record with telcos and proven technology makes it the ideal technical partner to deliver our IP-PRIME solution.”

SES AMERICOM’s IPTV solution enables secure transmission of all content, and ensures service reliability and format compatibility. This includes encrypted transmission over C-band to telco head-end and STBs, and re-encoding of programs into MPEG-4/H.264 to enable DSL-based IPTV delivery.

“SES AMERICOM is providing an affordable, reliable and scalable IPTV platform for telcos,” says Pete Pifer, President and CEO, ETI Software. “With ETI’s middleware interfaces, customer base and prospect list it only made sense that ETI partner with SES AMERICOM; ETI’s on the leading edge of IPTV by providing our billing and subscriber management services as part of a complete, seamless package for all telcos.”
