Pulaski Energy Systems Deploys ETI Software Solution

5:48 am   -   April 27th, 2007

PES Energize, the telecommunications division of Pulaski Energy Systems, has deployed ETI Software Solutions, Inc.’s Triad énConcert billing system to manage, provision and bill for telecommunication services over its Fiber-to-the-Premise (FTTP) network.

PES Energize handles the utility’s fast-growing telecommunications operation, offering telephone, high-speed Internet and video, including basic, expanded and premium channels. PES Energize required a billing system that was independent from the existing utility billing system.

Build upon ETI’s robust Linux-based provisioning platform, énConcert is a comprehensive billing and customer care software solution which supports all aspects of delivering broadband services. It effectively controls and manages customer premise devices such as set-top and FTTP devices, and automates provisioning of each FTTP device to instantly activate the correct services. énConcert also generates an independent statement for telecommunications services, manages receivables, collections and payments.

“Once we decided we needed a telecommunications billing system, we wanted something that did more than just generate monthly statements to send our customers,” says Wes Kelley , Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer, PES Energize. “Triad énConcert helps us manage our FTTP ecosystem, seamlessly connecting the customer premise with the customer service representative, automatically provisioning services and eliminating error-prone manual processes.”

ETI Triad énConcert generates work orders for service installation, manages telephone service orders and transfers billing data from PES Energize’s CLEC partner for final billing. It also provisions all customer premise devices such as set-top and FTTP devices and set-tops to instantly activate the correct services; énConcert then generates an independent statement for telecommunication services.

“As the number of connected home devices and services grow, it becomes imperative to provide a billing and customer management system based upon the subscriber’s home and their needs,” says Peter M. Pifer, President and CEO, ETI. “énConcert is built around ETI’s 15 years of experience in managing devices in the home with services delivered by fiber to the home. We also have the world’s largest inventory of field-proven interfaces using IP, HFC and satellite network delivery of triple play services.”

énConcert offers completely integrated billing capabilities using ETI’s out-of-the-box solution or one of the client’s choice. The solution prepares bills for all services and provides credit check, payment processing, accounts receivable and collections functionality. Additionally, it can manage and deliver prepaid services ordered by subscribers, which eliminates bill rendering and accounts receivable for this customer segment.

As Tennessee ’s oldest municipal electric system, and the first system in the state to receive power from the Tennessee Valley Authority, Pulaski Electric System serves nearly 15,000 customers and operates more than 1,200 miles of electric line throughout Giles County . Through PES Energize’s FTTH network, nearly 5,000 homes and businesses have access to state-of-the-art communication services including full-featured voice, video and data products.
