PT Telkom Deploys Clarity Next Generation OSS

7:14 pm   -   January 11th, 2007

Clarity, an Operational Support System (OSS) business process automation company, has announced the successful deployment of its pre-integrated end-to-end platform solution with PT Telkomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom). The project will form a single strategic OSS platform used for the inventory, provisioning and assurance of all PT Telkom network and services, based upon a hybrid of Next Generation Networks (NGN), IP MPLS and legacy technologies.

“As Indonesia ’s largest telecommunications company, it is essential for us to provide an unparalleled level of customer service and improve the quality of that service while reducing the overall operating costs,” said Garuda Sugardo, Chief Operating Officer of PT Telkom Indonesia . “Clarity’s pre-integrated OSS fully automates our vast communications network and provides end-to-end service fulfilment and assurance support. Now that it’s live, the solution will give us full visibility of our network, enable us to cater for future growth in subscriber volumes through the system’s inherent scalability, and ensure that we are in a position to deliver the highest level of innovation in the market today.”

“By implementing the Clarity solution, PT Telkom has once again shown their forward-looking vision by being early adopters of NGOSS best practices. The benefit of this is that it will allow PT Telkom to launch its new customer services in a quicker time to market than other operators” said Dr. Tomislav Matiæ, Chief Executive of Clarity. “PT Telkom now joins our growing list of customers around the globe enjoying seamless delivery of inventory management, service provisioning and service assurance within the one system. Uniquely designed to support convergence, our OSS solution engineers, provisions and assures voice, data, IP, application and content services over legacy and next generation networks.”

Clarity is the first Next Generation OSS to be deployed end-to-end, across all lines of business, by leading Tier 1 service providers. Clarity’s installed base includes such operators as Telekom Malaysia, Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) and Sri Lanka Telecom, as well as India ’s giant Reliance Communications.
