Astellia, leading provider of monitoring solutions to maximize Quality of Service (QoS) management and performance of mobile networks, has signed a contract with NII Holdings, Inc., one of the leading providers of fully integrated mobile communication services designed to meet the needs of businesses and individual customers in selected Latin American markets, to monitor its 2G and 3G networks.

As a result of this agreement, Astellia will complement the company’s existing tools, providing a unified and centralized solution for revenue assurance.

Astellia’s monitoring and optimization solution will be deployed in five countries in Latin America where NII Holdings, Inc. operates its 2G and 3G networks under the “Nextel” brand: Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Chile. As of June 30, 2009, NII Holdings, Inc. has 6.7m customers connected to its five national networks. The solution will also enable NII operations to troubleshoot quality-threatening problems and thereby secure revenue.

Astellia provides a global future-proof monitoring solution covering 2G/3G technologies from access to core, and element polling with coherent and detailed reports available to local teams and headquarters that will allow the consolidation of data.
