Mycom Signs Alcatel-Lucent for Delivery of Performance Management for UMTS Access Networks

Mycom International, a global provider of leading-edge OSS software solutions and services to the telecoms industry, has signed a global partnership agreement with Alcatel-Lucent for the delivery of their leading-edge performance management solution for Alcatel-Lucent’s UMTS Access networks.

Under the agreement Mycom will integrate its best-in-class NIMS-PrOptimaTM Service Assurance solution into Alcatel-Lucent’s UMTS Access technology. The embedded solution branded NIMS-PrOptimaTM for WMS will be delivered as part of Alcatel-Lucent’s UMTS Access infrastructure releases.

Performance management is a key OSS Service Assurance component of any UMTS network and helps operators to ensure that their radio networks operate with optimal efficiency at all times. Alcatel-Lucent will offer NIMS-PrOptimaTM along with its Wireless Management System to its UMTS Access customers globally.

NIMS-PrOptima™ is a state of the art multi-vendor and multi-technology carrier grade performance management solution, built upon Mycom’s advanced network information management platform NIMS™. It enables telecom operators to achieve mission critical operations such as end-to-end network performance management, real-time service performance management and complex network optimisation, while minimising operational and capital expenditures.
