Multimedios Bolsters Customer Service Operations with C-COR

10:49 am   -   December 5th, 2007

C-COR Incorporated (NASDAQ:CCBL) is expanding its global footprint in Latin America with the region’s first combined deployment of workforce management and network monitoring with Mexican operator Multimedios Redes. The package combines C-COR’s Mobile Workforce Manager (MWM) and CableEdge to enable advanced OSS functionality so that technicians and installers in Monterrey, Mexico, can proactively address customer service needs and monitor network performance second-by-second via mobile devices. Multimedios Redes is one of the first operators in Latin America to deploy automated workforce technology and is now also the first in the region to leverage the benefits of the integrated solution.

“As we deploy more advanced services, we are finding that management of the workforce and network monitoring should not exist in isolation,” said Jorge Azzario, CEO, Multimedios Redes. “We are convinced this solution will succeed in fulfilling our commitments to our customers and will help us further our technology leadership.”

C-COR’s MWM will help Multimedios Redes plan and expedite installations, truck routing, work orders, and dispatch in order to decrease the time spent on installations and to more efficiently route technicians and installers to the job site. C-COR’s CableEdge provides real-time views into the operator’s DOCSIS (R) network and monitors the entire subscriber experience from the headend to the customer’s home. Together, MWM and CableEdge deliver device and network service information directly to the Multimedios Redes’ field technician at the job site and to the Multimedios Redes’ network operations center Multimedios Redes plans to deploy the integrated MWM and CableEdge solution before the end of 2007.

“Multimedios Redes has turned to C-COR to bolster the strengths of its mobile workforce and technical support teams to deliver a better customer experience,” said Bailey Shewchuk, senior vice president, C-COR Global Strategies. “By combining MWM and CableEdge, Multimedios Redes will enjoy more efficient technician management, faster response times to customer requests, and proactive network monitoring to catch problems before they begin.”

MWM and CableEdge are part of C-COR’s CORAssure (TM), a complete and unified suite of OSS products that allows network service providers to easily ensure high levels of service availability through improved network monitoring, proactive network management, and superior subscriber support. More than 13,500 installers, technicians, and customer service representatives worldwide use C-COR’s MWM and more than 14 million DOCSIS devices are monitored worldwide by CableEdge.
