MTPCS Licenses Equinox Software to Support Billing and Near Real Time Roaming Data Exchange
Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems recently told OSS News Review that MTPCS, LLC d/b/a Cellular One (“MTPCS”) has licensed TeleLink and Collector. TeleLink and Collector mediate call data from most cellular switches and networks. MTPCS operates its switched GSM network in Montana, Wyoming, Oklahoma and Texas.
TeleLink facilitates the delivery of call records by filtering and converting data to the appropriate formats for operational support systems (OSS), such as billing and network traffic analysis. For MTPCS, TeleLink streamlines the billing process and allows MTPCS to quickly identify and forward call data information to the Near Real Time Roaming Data Exchange (NRTRDE) for roaming calls made by non-customers. Collector, which provides real-time delivery of call usage records, was also embedded into the custom software solution for MTPCS.
“We needed a software solution that could offer us better visibility into our call detail record (CDR) information,” explained Kevin Marshall, Director of Business Systems for MTPCS. “TeleLink and Collector help us mediate and convert all of our call record data into one standard data format which we can import into internal systems and export to third parties, such as the NRTRDE.”
“We look forward to a long customer relationship with Cellular One,” stated David West, Equinox Executive Vice President. “Equinox is honored that MTPCS chose to deploy Equinox software to better manage its usage record data. By partnering with Equinox, MTPCS demonstrates its commitment to embracing the latest software technology to support its advanced GSM network.”
MTPCS is recognized for the quality of its state?of?the?art GSM network, which allows for exceptional nationwide coverage, and for a remarkable team that is committed to the company’s mission of delivering ‘knockyoursocksoff’ service. MTPCS and its affiliates currently provide nationwide wireless Cellular One voice and data services to customers in Montana, Wyoming, Oklahoma and Texas.
