Minacom Receives 2006 Frost and Sullivan Emerging Company Award

12:06 am   -   August 18th, 2006

Frost & Sullivan analysts have selected Minacom as the recipient of the 2006 Emerging Company Award. This award reflects the company’s leadership, expertise, and innovative solutions addressing the VoIP Monitoring market.

“Minacom has steadily built a solid foundation of tier-1 telecom and cable customers, having increased its customer-base six-fold over the past three years. Among its clients are some of the most prestigious companies in the communications industry, including at&t, Comcast, France Telecom, Liberty Global, and BellSouth.” commented Frost and Sullivan Industry Manager & Analyst, Jessy Cavazos, adding, “One of Minacom’s key competitive factors is the high return on investment (ROI) of its solutions, enabled by a heavy use of automation and a low footprint in the network. Minacom’s solutions pose little installation difficulties and are recognized for quality and a unique, personalized support program known as DirectCare.”

The 2006 Emerging Company Award is presented each year to a company demonstrating excellence within its industry. Analysts compare market participants and measure performance through in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary and technology research in order to identify best practices; key evaluation criteria include superior market growth, exceptional customer service, an effective promotional strategy, and unique product technology with a high market potential.

Minacom serves the needs of Telcos and Cable multi-service operators (MSOs) worldwide with a complete range of service-level test automation solutions designed to help them install, monitor and troubleshoot the quality of VoIP, IP video, Internet, fax/modem and telephony services. Over 90% of Minacom’s staff are engineers, with extensive expertise in telecommunications systems, network and service management, software development and test & measurement.

Minacom’s reputation in the market is based on listening to customers and responding to their needs and requests as fast as possible. Long-standing, responsive client relationships have resulted in products that emphasize practical, automated, integrated solutions and long term value.

Minacom test solutions are managed by DirectQuality R7, a carrier-grade centralized OSS platform that controls and maintains PowerProbe service level test probes, automates test processes, gathers test results and analyzes and reports them using a unique Decision Support System (DSS). DirectQuality R7 integrates with existing network support and alarm management systems, adding service-quality visibility to existing operations.

“We are honored to be recognized by Frost & Sullivan for this award, underlining the value Minacom solutions bring to communication service providers. As a company, we have reached a number of milestones this year, including the shipment of our 1000th PowerProbe unit, 10 years of manufacturing service level test solutions, establishing several partnerships with industry-leading solution vendors, and serving a clientele of over 70 telcos and cable operators in 27 countries.” said Michel Nadeau, President & CEO of Minacom, “Looking ahead, we will continue to focus on providing advanced test solutions that help operators deliver the best-possible service quality to subscribers while maximizing operational efficiency.”
