11:29 am   -   December 16th, 2008

MetraTech Corp. was awarded Microsoft’s (NASDAQ: MSFT) Communication Sector Asia Pacific Star Emerging ISV Partner Award 2008,” during the company’s Communication Sector Asia Pacific Customer and Partner Forum, held in Kuala Lumpur Dec 3-5th.

The award recognizes MetraTech’s successful entry into Asia Pacific market and the milestones it reached in the region in 2008. In addition, it also recognizes the close strategic relationship between the two companies both globally and in the APAC market in particular.

Clients of both Microsoft and MetraTech are benefiting from being able to access a joint proposition in the communications sector with tightly integrated products that capture and manage revenues as well as supporting diverse and dynamic business models. Only last week, MetraTech announced that its MetraNet product had been deployed by Microsoft itself as the billing and partner settlement solution for Microsoft Online Services, Microsoft’s new cloud computing initiative.

“Partners like MetraTech play an important role in our go-to-market plans and this award recognizes achievements in a key partnership that we expect to significantly benefit service providers in the Asian billing marketplace in the next 12 months” said Sandi Thomas, General Manager, Microsoft Communication Sector, Asia Pacific, Microsoft.

Vladimir Mitrasinovic, Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing, MetraTech Corp., said, “We value Microsoft’s award greatly. It underlines that Dynamic Business Modeling – enabled by our MetraNet product – can deliver unique advantages to companies seeking to achieve success in a competitive business environment.”

Mitrasinovic concluded: “I fully expect that MetraTech and Microsoft, working together with other partners, will provide exciting new options to the billing market throughout 2009.”
