7:53 pm   -   January 25th, 2007

Melita Cable, Malta ‘s primary Cable and Internet Service Provider and a part of UPC (United Pan-European Communications), and MaxBill, a market leader in providing comprehensive, financial customer management and billing solutions, have announced the successful deployment of MaxBill’s End-to-End Customer Care and Billing platform. This provides Melita Cable with a powerful triple-play platform to synchronize billing, rating, provisioning, customer care and order management across its entire network.

“The implementation of MaxBill’s triple-play suite has exceeded our expectations in its support of our business project plan,” said Phillip Micaleff, CEO of Melita Cable. “With the MaxBill system up and running in just five months, we have successfully launched our hello telephone system – Malta ‘s first independent full telephony system – making Melita the first triple-play operator in Malta . By moving into the triple-play market with MaxBill, we have upgraded our customer service to include pre- and post-paid telephony and strengthened our commitment to providing top quality, low-cost TV, internet and telephony services, with per second billing in one simple bill.”

“We are extremely pleased at the flexibility that MaxBill’s triple play functionality has offered Melita, as well as the level of professionalism and partnership fostered throughout this project,” said Hadar Himmelman, CEO of MaxBill. “With convergence shaping customer demand, Melita has emerged to provide superior customer service by leveraging the power of MaxBill’s triple-play capabilities for the timely introduction of new services, as well as real time pre- and post-paid telephony. We look forward to providing Melita with lower TCO and even greater return on investment.”
