Martin Group Joined by Network Insight to Deliver Affordable Tier-1-Level NOC Services to Tier 2/3 Carriers

10:29 pm   -   March 2nd, 2008

A partnership with Network Insight was announced by Martin Group that will permit them to provide Tier-1-grade NOC services to its Tier 2/3 service provider clients at rates they can afford.

Peter Rasmusson, President, Telecommunications Consulting & Engineering of Martin Group, said, “NOC services have been available to Tier 1 carriers but the smaller Tier 2/3 carriers have had limited access to robust NOC services due to cost and staffing reasons. Consequently, the NOC services that small and medium carriers could afford were very limited in their proactive functionality and their usefulness as an operational tool.”

Mr. Rasmusson continued, “At the same time, consumers have more choices due to increasing competition from CATV, wireless data providers, satellite TV providers and new wireline competitors. This competition drives the need to move from a reactive maintenance model to a proactive model such as Network Insight’s services.”

Designed for any customer deploying data or video services over a network with multiple network devices, Network Insight’s infrastructure management services allow customers to benefit from a 24×7 NOC using robust carrier-grade tools, staffed with degreed and certified engineers; and personalized access to a web portal with real-time statistics on network performance.

“In addition to affordability, our clients say the flexibility that comes with our wide range of service options makes our solution stand out from other managed service offerings,” said Network Insight Director of Sales for Managed Services Justin Piotroski. “Our service options have been developed over the years based on feedback from our customers. Our services now range from Software as a Service, to basic event monitoring, to after hours and weekend monitoring, to full-fledged outsourced managed services.”

For almost a decade, Network Insight’s infrastructure management services have successfully monitored and managed some of the largest and most modern IP networks for service provider and enterprise customers across the United States. These clients experience improved network performance, increased network uptime and greater customer satisfaction on voice, video and
data services.
