8:09 am   -   September 24th, 2008

Robust solution handles both wholesale and retail operations

Intec announced a USD multi-million dollar agreement with the Guatemalan affiliate of one of Latin America’s leading service providers. After a comprehensive evaluation which demonstrated the technological superiority of its integrated solution, Intec was awarded the contract. Intec will perform the supply and implementation of Intec’s Rating, Mediation, Interconnect, and Automated Reconciliation solutions.

Implementation of the Intec solution enables the business to configure any rating scenario, whether retail or wholesale, while also consolidating its existing OSS and rating functions. This ability to quickly and efficiently create and launch new products is critical in Latin America’s highly competitive market.

The firm’s products are currently deployed in over 40 Service Providers across Central and Latin America. This latest deployment of a consolidated and integrated solution provides the operator with a market leading convergent OSS platform, on which it can base its future market offers, to maximize competitiveness in its market.

Ian Watterson, Vice President, Intec CALA region, said, “This latest win increases Intec’s presence within one of the region’s major providers and is further evidence of Intec’s continuing expansion in Latin America.”

In addition to flexible rating, the integrated solution will also improve the reconciliation of the carrier’s interconnect business; interconnect represents a high percentage of the carrier’s income and costs. Intec’s solution will help optimize operations and provide revenue assurance controls, and full audit capabilities.
