Intec Receives Award in China for Convergent Mediation Solution
Intec, a global provider of business and operations support systems (BSS/OSS), has been recently awarded the prestigious ‘Best Convergent Mediation Product’ honour for its Inter-mediatE product, from Billing China (www.billingchina.com), China’s leading BSS/OSS media outlet. This is the third consecutive year Intec has won the award.
The judging panel of senior level officials from local operators, regulators, academics and industry experts in the BSS/OSS, IT and telecommunications market, chose to recognise and honour Intec for its highly advanced and powerful multi-service mediation tool, and its contribution to the Chinese telecoms market.

Intec’s Inter-mediatE is the world’s leading convergent mediation technology supporting the operations of over 220 carriers globally, some of which are processing, using Inter-mediatE, well over 1 billion events every day. Inter-mediatE is used to manage rapid spikes in events created by an exponential growth in usage, by the large subscriber bases of many of Intec’s customers.
3G and next generation services require voice, data and content services to be supported in real-time from multiple network sources; Inter-mediatE processes highly complex transaction events from multiple network sources with exceptional accuracy rates. Essentially, it can also consolidate multiple existing legacy systems thereby reducing support & maintenance costs. With full control over the type and timing of innovative next generation services to be launched, operators are therefore able to rapidly secure competitive advantage with a minimum of effort and disruption. The judging panel cited these factors and, particularly the ability to handle rapid event growth, as critical mediation success factors for Chinese communication service providers.
