Today, Intec announced the appointment of Reece Donovan as President of Global Services. The former COO of Steria’s Enterprise Applications Solutions business will officially join the Intec team on 01 January 2009.

In his new role, Donovan will draw on his understanding of IT service delivery, strategic partnering, general management and business development over multiple customer segments, to lead Intec’s 1,000 strong Professional Service experts in their engagements with customers located around the world. Intec Professional Service experts have extensive expertise and experience including solution architecture, implementation and business consultancy, many of whom have previously worked in operator environments and can bring a solid practical knowledge of the environment in which Intec products are deployed.

Commenting on his appointment Donovan said, “I am very pleased to be joining Intec at such an exciting time in the company’s development, as telco operators increasingly look to OSS/BSS technology to give them the commercial edge they need. The Professional Services organization is a vital tool in helping customers realize competitive advantage, and I am greatly looking forward to working with the team to provide world-class consultancy and services.”

“I am delighted to welcome Reece to Intec,” added Andrew Taylor, CEO of Intec. “His experience and track record of delivery in highly complex environments, over multiple estates, will give Intec added momentum as we grow our business and lead the drive to offer our customers the very best industry advice and guidance in OSS/BSS implementations.”

Donovan has over eleven years experience in the professional services environment, where he has played leading roles in the delivery of numerous, complex ERP software programs, implementing and managing shared services, and building competitive IT capabilities and propositions. With a BSc in Electronic Engineering and MSc in Medicine (Biomedical Engineering) from the University of Cape Town, Reece’s previous experience also includes working in the pharmaceutical industry, where he was responsible for the design and development of ambulatory ECG analysis software.
