Intec Honoured with Three Awards for Product and Overall Excellence in China

10:31 am   -   March 13th, 2008

Billing China, China’s leading BSS/OSS media outlet, has chosen Intec as the recipient of three of its prestigious Excellence and Best Product Awards.

These awards are:
- ‘Best Mediation Product’ for Intec Convergent Mediation
- ‘Excellent International Vendor in the BSS/OSS and IT space in China’
- ‘Excellent Convergent Billing (Wholesale and Retail)’

The judging panel of senior level officials from local operators, regulators, academics and industry experts in the BSS/OSS, IT and telecommunications markets honoured Intec for its contribution to the Chinese telecoms market and its high standards in product development, deployment and local customer support.

BillingChina’s Managing Director Steve Qiao commented, “Award recipients are not only chosen for the robust functionalities of its products but also for company stability and its high standards in product development. Intec’s continued ability to deliver in China helped it stand out as a winner based on the overwhelming positive feedback judges received about the Intec customer experience and the benefits reaped by users of Intec products in China.”

Intec has a major presence in China with customers including China Mobile, China Netcom and China Unicom, as well as offices in Beijing and Shanghai.

Intec Convergent Mediation is the industry’s leading mediation system, and has been successfully deployed at Beijing Mobile (a China Mobile subsidiary) to enable it to manage the rapid increase in events created by the exponential growth of its subscriber base. The judging panel cited this ability to handle rapid event growth as a critical mediation success factor for Chinese communication service providers. Intec beat a number of local companies to win the ‘Best Mediation Product’ award.

As a company with a growing and successful presence in China, Intec was recognised in the ‘Excellent International Vendor in the BSS / OSS and IT space in China’ category for product quality, its timely delivery of projects, the quality of its customer service and the satisfaction of its Chinese customer base.

The final award granted to Intec was for ‘Excellent Convergent Billing (Wholesale & Retail) product’ in recognition of Intec’s ability to offer a world-class carrier grade end-to-end billing solution.

Norm Halvorson, Vice President, Asia Pacific said: “Being honoured by BillingChina for the second consecutive year further endorses Intec as a key OSS player and a recognised provider of leading edge, next-generation technology for the Chinese telecoms industry. Our latest awards for billing and mediation excellence also highlights Intec’s commitment and successful market strategy in the region and proves to our customers that we offer the highest quality products and expertise in China.”
