3:31 pm   -   November 8th, 2007

Info Directions, leading developer of net-centric billing, rating, order management, workflow and selling solutions for the telecommunications industry, has told OSS News Review that Washington-based service provider Inland Cellular has decided to implement its CostGuard® XG OSS/BSS software and Lexys Point of Sale. Inland Cellular will use the company’s line of software solutions in the Info Directions ASP to manage rating, billing, customer care and retail operations for its growing subscriber base.

Inland Cellular is a locally operated rural cellular communications company that provides service over a CDMA network in Southeastern Washington and North Central Idaho. Providing service since 1992, Inland Cellular combines high-quality customer care with an ongoing commitment to customer needs through the addition of new towers and advanced technology and services.

With the implementation of the CostGuard XG OSS/BSS and the fully integrated Lexys Point of Sale POS solution, Inland Cellular will link critical components in its corporate and retail activities to secure a single view of end user activities and purchases. The company will also gain significant advantages through CostGuard’s ability to share the Product Catalog between the operations and billing system and the retail POS, streamlining the launch of new products and services. The use of CostGuard’s Guided Assignment module will also help customer care representatives and retail employees offer appropriate up-sell and cross-sell opportunities throughout the sales process, enhancing revenue and ensuring customers’ needs are met in the most complete manner when they make their initial purchases.

“CostGuard XG’s integrated OSS/BSS/POS solution, will give us the robust functionality and flexibility we need to take our service offerings to the next level. With our impending rollout of EVDO and the many content services that faster data speeds will allow us to offer, we will need a back office solution that can keep up. We believe CostGuard XG is the best in the market,” said Mike Bly, Operations Manager for Inland Cellular. “We look forward to our partnership with Info Directions - not just for the product but for the people as well. We need a company we can rely on, and Info Directions’ staff gives us a lot of confidence.”

“It is a pleasure to be working with Inland Cellular on a back office solution that will augment its service and support capabilities and enhance its ability to expand and grow,” said Donald Culeton, president of Info Directions. “For progressive, customer-focused companies, CostGuard XG’s integrated OSS/BSS/POS platform is aligned with the vision that wireless carriers need to have to stay competitive in today’s market. We are impressed by Inland Cellular’s commitment to its customers and look forward to providing the back office infrastructure that helps it fully capitalize on the retail sales environment, create and bill for advanced products and services, and enhance customer care capabilities.”
