Highdeal Solves Billing Challenge for Wireless Matrix

6:33 pm   -   September 19th, 2006

Highdeal, the world’s leading provider of Pricing, Rating and Charging solutions, has announced that leading wireless data provider, Wireless Matrix, has chosen Highdeal Transactive for its billing and partner settlement platform.

According to Maria Izurieta, CFO of Wireless Matrix, “It became apparent early in the selection process that Highdeal was unique in its ability to accommodate our business requirements through simple configuration. We wanted to avoid any custom coding that, in the long run, would have meant limited flexibility. Transactive provides our business with both an operational solution and a real front-office enabler.”

Wireless Matrix provides real-time telematics and mobile resource management applications such as fleet tracking and remote inventory. These services, which leverage both terrestrial and satellite-based communications networks, depend on a large number of remote devices out in the field generating extraordinarily large transaction volumes. This presents a challenge for traditional telecom billing systems.

After conducting a comprehensive search and RFP process that included all the leading solutions in the marketplace, Wireless Matrix concluded that Highdeal Transactive alone was able to meet their needs, and did so cost-effectively. Highdeal is rapidly becoming the de facto billing solution for telematics, machine-to-machine (M2M) and wireless data service providers.

During the selection process, Highdeal demonstrated Wireless Matrix’s scenarios fully implemented in Highdeal Transactive including such requirements as dual-tiered charging and fleet averaging. Wireless Matrix is also using Transactive to calculate partner settlement costs such as agent commissions and wholesale transport costs from network operators.

Camilla Dahlen, President of Highdeal Inc., added, “We are proud to add Wireless Matrix to a fast growing list of North American service providers who understand the strategic value of pricing & packaging. As we say at Highdeal, billing is a commodity, pricing is strategic.”

Highdeal will be presenting at the MVNO Sustainable Business Models conference in New York September 26 – 28 as well as Mobile Billing 2006 in Lisbon September 25 - 28. Those interested in arranging a meeting should call +1 212-332-2144.
