Highdeal a Winner at the World BSS Awards 2008

3:17 pm   -   June 20th, 2008

Highdeal awarded as this year’s Innovation in Billing & Information Management Award at the World BSS Awards 2008. This win is in recognition of recent Highdeal benchmarks that demonstrated a significant breakthrough in the online charging systems that telecom operators use to manage revenue for converged, multimedia services. These benchmarks proved that the Highdeal solution delivers a price-performance profile previously unattained by online charging solutions.

The World Billing Awards are widely regarded as the highest industry recognition of billing excellence, rewarding billing best practice and raising awareness of the importance of billing to the communications industry, as Hugh Roberts, Chairman of the Awards Judging Panel and Consultant Director for IIR’s BSS/OSS and RM events explains: “We are delighted to honor all of the winners and finalists of the World BSS Awards.” He added: “As previous winners, this is not the first year that Highdeal have been acknowledged for excellence in innovation. The judges felt that Highdeal have not only continued to evolve their solutions but are also evolving as a company. As well as meeting telecoms customers’ increasingly complex charging and billing challenges, Highdeal have also taken ‘telecoms’ functionality and made it relevant to transaction processing needs in other industry verticals, including transport and the financial services. This is a significant development not just for Highdeal, but for the telecoms software industry as a whole.”

“Winning this World Billing Award 2008 for innovation makes us very proud at Highdeal. It is heartening to see this industry recognition of our foresight and strong investment in R&D, particularly our industry-leading architecture that led recently to such a convincing breakthrough for high-performance online charging with dramatically low TCO.” explains Eric Pillevesse, CEO and Co-founder, Highdeal.

About the World BSS Awards

The World BSS Awards were introduced to acknowledge billing best practice and raise awareness of how significant billing, charging, IT and associated processes are to the communications industry. Launched in 1997, this is the 12th year that these important awards have been presented.
